I have become fully aware that I am not a self-promotion kind of woman. I can talk to strangers at a book fair with ease. And if I am in a costume of any kind, watch out! One of my other personalities takes over. But I do not have a ‘following’ or a ‘platform’ of note. Even though I have six novels out there, I do not yet consider myself a ‘writer’. I write stories. And with the help of Scribe Hive Publishing, they have gotten published. I know my storytelling is improving the more I do it, and that has to count for something. Doesn’t it?  I cannot brag about huge sales or recognition. I can’t point to a single brick and mortar bookstore where you could find my books. You know what? When I think about it, that’s not why I started writing and publishing my stories. It’s something I feel I have to do. Want to do. For fun. For my own pleasure. I love when the characters carry me along and they allow their personalities to develop. They ‘show’ me the story, not the other way around. And there’s nothing like the feeling of holding your book in your hands for the first time. And it’s the same with every book. Every time.

Don’t get me wrong, I love it when someone tells me they’ve read one of my books, and they really liked it, or even loved it. And I still fantasize that someone makes a movie out of one of my stories starring Keanu Reeves. I already have the perfect character(s) in mind for him to portray. I envision him walking me up to the stage to accept “our” award. A girl has to have dreams. Even a girl as old as I am.
