Beatrix Weathersby lived in a remote area of Oklahoma until her family inherits a bee farm in Wisconsin. Now that her family has moved she will go to public school for the very first time.

School turns out to be nothing like she expects. She has a hard time adjusting to all the noise, crowds and rules in a school and never imagined all the different kinds of people she would meet. To her surprise she discovers not everyone is friendly and nice.

Bea feels like everything she does is wrong. She doesn’t want to change who she is to get people to like her, but struggles to fit in.
