It’s another snowy Saturday and our Spring road trip planning feels even more important. I don’t know about you, but wintering is hard for me. I know, I know. Rest is important. Hibernation is helpful for most of us to regenerate energy and prepare for the activity of Spring. But I miss the sun and the flowers, and it seems like our sunny days are the same as the work days, and I am ready to feel the warmth and for the light to reach the brain centers that seem to be in a stupor. I’m ready.

I’m also ready to be on the road. To explore places I’ve never been and to inform and inspire books two and three with the magic of the natural wonders we will visit. I’m ready. Santa Fe, Chaco Canyon, Mesa Verde, our beloved Grand Canyon, Sedona, Tucson, and then on to visit friends and old stomping grounds in California. Believe me, we will soak in every bit of warmth and sunlight we can while hiking, playing ball with the dogs, and stopping at every magical place we can.

It is, and will be, a book tour. But truly, it is so much more than that and I am ready. This will be my first official book tour. Visiting every independent book store or private book club that will let me and discussing the characters, the story, and the concepts of healing and wholeness shared throughout. So far, I haven’t heard back from most of the book stores I contacted. I get it. I’m new. I’m ‘unknown’. They don’t know how my book will do. So, I go on the book tour anyway. I introduce myself, drop off a copy, and enjoy the scenery. Because maybe it won’t be the bookstores that help people find Return to Star Junction. Maybe it is people like my mom’s childhood friend who loved the book so much she bought 3 more copies to give as gifts. I know for sure, that our road trip will include a visit with her.

And, I’m ready.

Hope we’ll see you, too!

love, Serra
